In the golden winds of September, top student Jian Tanglin and class bottom Li Canglan first run into each other in front of the class assignment list. One is cool and solitary, hiding scars all over his arms and a whole pack of cigarettes. The other is bright and bold, with a smile like a glass brimming with sunshine.
The gap between a top student and a failure should have been as vast as mountains and seas. But Li Canglan stumbled upon Jian Tanglin's secret: smoking in an alley late at night. And he stumbled right into the boy's tightly closed heart. "This is a secret just between the two of us." From tutoring to holding hands, from making wishes on the Ferris wheel to pledging their love beneath a meteor shower, the boys believed that love could withstand anything.
But Li Canglan was forced by his family to leave the country, and for seven years there was no word from him. When Jian Tanglin slit his wrists in the bathtub, the sound of the water drowned out every question he had left unasked. When they meet again, one is a renowned psychologist and the other a CEO returning from abroad. The four characters in the name Canglin Group reveal a love that never went out. But an even deeper secret lies buried in his heart. This time, it is truly too late...
This is a story about "forever." Forever is so far away that it takes a lifetime to keep the appointment.
