High school physics textbooks tell us that the two clouds once thought to be hanging over the perfect edifice of classical physics brought it crashing down, marking the beginning of modern physics.
Does the world made up of matter have clouds looming over it, too?
On some unknown day in some unknown year, instances of an infinite-flow game suddenly slipped into our world.
To deal with these supernatural instances, an organization called the Special Investigations Bureau was formed. Its job is to rescue ordinary citizens pulled into the instances, while also investigating this supernatural phenomenon, whose origins and creator remain unknown.
Jiang Zhaoyun has both parents, a smooth life, and a promising future, probably. Someone once asked why she would take a job where she could lose her life at any moment.
Jiang Zhaoyun, a PhD candidate in chemistry, a famously useless major, thought it over and said, “To protect the lives and property of the public.”
Just kidding.
For someone like her, ideals don’t put food on the table.
But just as the two clouds that destroyed the edifice of classical physics changed the world, once the world showed her its other side, she became a moth lured by the light of the flames.

Content warnings:
1. This novel has no golden finger, unless the author’s helping hand counts. It isn’t a typical power fantasy, either. There are no supernatural powers or special items, just ordinary people tackling the instances.
2. The heroine has little fighting ability and won’t be slaughtering her way through everything.
3. This story leans a little toward an ensemble cast.
4. I started writing infinite-flow fiction because the genre has become rather samey in recent years, and I was starving for something new, so I decided to write my own. I wanted to write an infinite-flow story where you can’t guess the ending from the beginning, but whether I can pull that off is another question.
5. I’ll add more if anything else comes to mind.
Theme: All things are as they are.
Parrot: Is your skin made of iron? Dare you talk to me like that [dog head]
No, the country doesn't send cultural people to study this. People who obviously need intelligence can find out by running a few more copies. It feels like I have to install something very simple...
