A Tranquil Summer

There will always be certain things, certain people, that leave us silently grieving when we're alone, yet with no regrets. Some people and things remind us that once, we lit up each other's eyes. It was a love so fierce it left us shattered, and still we can't stop thinking of it.

Forgetting, like remembering, is the finest memento we can give each other.

Love is a homecoming, a salvation for us both.

Happiness may ultimately be nothing more than an ideal, one that offers no release.
