The Wrong Marriage

A straightforward noblewoman x a fake gentleman of a crown prince

Su Yin had found a good live-in son-in-law and was just waiting for the new year to pass so she could marry her sworn older brother. Then an imperial decree arrived at the Su residence, betrothing the third young lady, her, to the once universally admired but now fallen Crown Prince, a good-for-nothing who had lost everything.

Crown Prince Zhao Yichen was famous in Huajing as a young man of talent, a gentleman as fine as jade. The Su family's eldest daughter was always mentioned alongside him. They were well matched in status, and together they made a perfect couple. Anyone with eyes could see that the Crown Prince wanted to marry the eldest Su daughter. But unexpectedly, the Emperor betrothed him to the third daughter instead. Before the crowd could even express their surprise, the Emperor suddenly died, and the fallen Crown Prince swiftly ascended the throne.

Since this marriage had never been her choice, Su Yin only wanted to settle everything, leave with a divorce agreement, and continue on to marry her sworn older brother. But Zhao Yichen refused to let her go.

Zhao Yichen used the fact that they had been intimate to keep Su Yin by his side.
