Fireworks at Summer’s End

They first meet at a roller rink on Qixi Festival.

Ling Chaosui nearly falls, her eyes red with tears. Qi Munian reaches out and catches her steadily.

Embarrassment wells up inside her. She hurriedly thanks him, then skates away in a rush, leaving Qi Munian standing there, lost in thought.

His friend skates up beside him and claps him on the shoulder, teasing, "Look how scared you made her. Her eyes are all red. It's not like you're exactly popular with girls, either."

When they meet again, they become classmates.

Their friends stare in shock. "Is the groom... eloping with the bride?!"
