Mo Ci lived a life of humiliation and died full of resentment. To calm her anger, an emissary gives her a dream.
A harmonious family, friendly roommates, and abundant material comforts: everything is perfectly balanced, and she should be happy. But instead, she slowly grows rebellious.
I don't have to date you! You should let me go!
Lu Diduo's arrival is unexpected. His childhood in a poor family is completely different from the wealth and glory of his previous life. But he is lucky: he meets Mo Ci, and he is the reason she came into this world. He is willing to be.
"Don't you know that your family only valued me because of you when I was young? That I exist because of you?"
"I wasn't born for anyone!"
"No, you were. You're my precious daughter. Everyone worked hard to bring you into this world."
Mo Ci gives in, accepts her fate, and acts happy.
After an accident, she escapes that vicious cycle. The varied experiences of the outside world nourish her impoverished heart, and when she sees Lu Diduo again, she is able to face him calmly.
Lu Diduo is afraid and lost, constantly wondering whether she is really by his side.
He keeps asking for reassurance, until at last he accepts his own imperfections and insecurities, and loves her just as he is.
"Mo Ci, do you still resent me?"
There is no answer. No one knows.
