1. I was originally supposed to write Exorcising Demons, but I hit a serious block while writing it. I revised the manuscript several times and abandoned nearly 200,000 words' worth of chapters. A lot of the details connected to the setting of my earlier work, Collapse, were also unclear, so in the end I had to put it off.
2. Writer's block was painful, and the pressure of my real life was pretty intense this past year, so this simple, lighthearted campus novel came about! I'm incredibly grateful to Guangxi and Qingyuan for helping me get past my writer's block. Not being able to finish a novel for so long really does a number on your confidence... (crying.jpg)
