Repaying Your Kindness [Gender Bender]

[A rebel who loves to start revolts and the melancholy beauty at her side who writes resentful-wife poems]

In his previous life, Xiao Fang was sentenced to death by the very emperor he had helped ascend the throne. He swallowed a cup of poisoned wine and died coughing blood, his heart full of grief and indignation, only to be reborn at the age of twenty.

When I married, I blushed to wear my bridal robes. Now I understand that my lord was never someone I could trust.

My lord cannot be trusted, but I will never forget our old promise.

Remembering the kindness of the past, Xiao Fang still became her subject.

Ming Xi, devoted to the cause of rebellion, actually has little regard for Xiao, the Phoenix Gentleman who has joined her ranks. Aloof and arrogant, wild and unrestrained, and drunk all day, he seems no different from those noble sons who know nothing but idle talk and pleasure.

So although Ming Xi treats him with respect, she doesn't draw close to him or cherish him.

But this marginal figure in her faction risks his life to save her when danger strikes.

Shocked, Ming Xi takes another look at this Xiao gentleman.

Only belatedly does Lord Ming finally notice that gaze... the one always watching her silently from behind.
