In the blink of an eye, a giant mutated tree lifts up his cabin, plants guard the courtyard walls, and his home becomes a one-of-a-kind sanctuary in the apocalypse.
Meanwhile, his good buddy wears an apron and cooks for him every day.
Shi Mian manages to lie flat in the apocalypse, while his good buddy takes care of the zombies and the house. Aside from occasionally giving him a strange look and secretly warming his bed, everything is going great.
Then the major factions take shape. Once they learn about Shi Mian's one-of-a-kind ability, his ex, who has become a high-ranking official at a base in this life, shamelessly extends an olive branch to them again.
Only then does Shi Mian remember how strange his ex was in his previous life.
To find out the truth, he decides to play along and infiltrate the base. But a few days before they leave, his good buddy suddenly drops his honest and dependable act, climbing into bed with him through gritted teeth:
“What kind of love potion did that damn homewrecker give you?!”
