Just as the title says, this is about the everyday lives of Tsukimi Hotaru and Joy 3. It has little to do with the main plot. Think of it as a collection of daily-life extras outside the main story, or a collection of short Gintama-style stories. I was just too lazy to create original characters all over again. I might write about other characters, too. Most of it is about the village school and everyone being one big family, with the occasional pairing-focused story. It's all about healing.
The timeline is all over the place. It's about Joy 3 and A-Hotaru during their time at the village school, during the war against the shogunate, and in the present. The related main plot is all in the main story, so if you're interested, you can revisit Firefly Light next door.
I started by collecting snippets I'd written before but hadn't posted because I didn't want the story to get too long. Rereading them got me excited to write again~ Joy 3 really is so healing!

P.S. I love the Odd Jobs Trio, and I also think Gintoki's home will always be Kabukicho. It's where he was reborn, where he made a promise to Otose, and where he would never leave Kagura, Shinpachi, or Sadaharu behind. But the everyday life of the Odd Jobs Trio is already more than memorable enough in the original story. I love the endlessly charming adult characters in the main plot, and they don't get nearly enough stories. This is partly my own personal wish fulfillment~
