A demon on top who is a master actor, gentle and considerate on the surface but twisted and obsessive underneath x a human on the bottom who seems cold, aloof, and proper, but is secretly calculating and sulky
Set in the future: a con artist reborn into the present x an amnesiac Director of the Law Enforcement Bureau
*
Coming back to life is a good thing.
But He Xingyun, who has no money to his name after being revived and has to risk his life running a pig-butchering scam for a crooked boss, feels that something is very wrong.
Worse, the first target he painstakingly hooked online is the natural enemy of con artists.
"So what if he's the Director of the Law Enforcement Bureau? Charge! If we're doing this, let's go big!"
He Xingyun goes to meet him, steeling himself. He looks up, and the man who'd been so cheeky online is wearing an icy expression, staring at him with unusual focus. His gray eyes hold a flash of wonder.
He freezes in place.
The hateful face he'd seen just before dying flashes through his mind, a perfect match for the man in front of him.
...Isn't this the damn nemesis he's kicked off a cliff eight hundred times?!

In his profession, Si Heng has an unshakable record and has risen to a high position at a remarkably young age.
In the matchmaking world, people sum him up like this: not yet thirty, handsome, owns a house and a car, has savings, comes from a harmonious family, is an only child, and has a promising career.
"So how can he be so casual about it?"
His family's pressure has no effect on Si Heng. They can only watch helplessly as he launches the matchmaking System, lets it make a random match, and clicks confirm.
[He Xingyun: no house, no car, both parents dead, unemployed drifter, male, never enrolled in the basic education System]
"He's the one. I happen to know him: a certain Mr. Con Artist."
Everyone is praying that he's just fooling around, or better yet, using the opportunity to catch a con artist, and that he isn't serious.
Yet Si Heng is so captivated the first time he sees Mr. Con Artist that he doesn't even dodge the wine splashed right at him.
The con artist in front of him smiles in a way that's hard to read, his hand clamped around Si Heng's throat like a pair of pincers.
"I'm so sorry, Mr. Si. I accidentally spilled that on you."
Bonus scene:
#I think my partner keeps trying to kill me#
sh [Original Poster]: My fiance has fair skin, a beautiful face, a great body, a good temper, and knows how to fight, but he strangles me in the middle of the night. Help! Is something wrong with his mental health? How can I help him?
User 1: Whatever's going on with him, shouldn't you be worried about your life right now?!
sh [Original Poster]: But when he strangles an Otherkin, he can snap their neck with one twist.
sh [Original Poster]: He's so gentle with me, so he must love me. We just have a few little disagreements.
User 2: Wait, that's so dangerous. How did you two get engaged?
sh [Original Poster]: Oh, I fell in love with him at first sight. After planning things for a while, I insisted we get married, and then he shyly agreed.
User 3: Are you sure he was shy, not angry?
User 4: Replying to the person above: don't ask. Haven't you figured out who the original poster is yet? That guy talks tough, but doesn't he still spend every day doing it out of love and hate...
"...What weird thing are you posting now?"
He Xingyun sets down his terminal, smiles dangerously, shoots Si Heng a murderous glare, and pulls out the tool he uses most often.
"Looks like you're too bored. We need to play some games."
[A friendly reminder, as is customary]
1. They love each other mutually, though the protagonist causes trouble and gets tangled up in all sorts of complications early on.
2. The story involves time travel, with some science-fiction elements that aren't entirely rigorous.
3. The focus is on romance. There's less plot, but still a fair amount. Thanks for your support!
