Happiness in My Heart

[Energetic chatterbox sunshine girl x slow-to-warm-up, socially anxious transfer student]

[Devoted family-pet veterinarian x dedicated cultural tourism reporter]

As an adult, Suxin has to deal not only with difficult articles, but also with her mother's constant pressure to get married.

One day, unable to withstand her mother's relentless persuasion, Suxin had no choice but to head to the blind date. Wearing sunglasses, she made a series of sarcastic remarks to the man:

“How old are you this year? Do you own a house and a car? I don't like boys who've been in relationships before. I won't even accept a guy who's touched another girl's hand!”

The man smiled. Suxin couldn't see what was so funny about that. She took off her sunglasses, ready to give him a piece of her mind, only to discover that the person sitting before her was her old high school deskmate!

A girl transferred into Class 3, Grade 10, at No. 2 High School. She was quiet and shy, and her voice was so soft it sounded like a mosquito buzzing.

As luck would have it, her deskmate was known throughout the entire grade as a human sun: cheerful, talkative, and friendly with everyone.

Everyone thought it wouldn't be long before he stopped talking to her because she was so quiet.

But to everyone's surprise...

“Are you thirsty? I'll get you some water!”

“Can't figure out this problem? Come on, I'll explain it to you!”

Suxin was so overwhelmed by his enthusiasm that she didn't know what to do.

She asked him, “Are you this nice to everyone?”

He smiled, showing off two little canine teeth. “Yeah.”

After a pause, he added, “But you're different.”
