The Whole Wizarding World Is Sneaking Licks of the Demon King's Cat

Nian Gao is an orange cat with a very high catlike moral character.

For three years, she has been eating at the entrance to the university cafeteria. Her signature move is flopping onto her belly to beg for food, and it works every time.

The ground split open, purple light shot into the sky, and poor Nian Gao fell into a glowing magic circle.

A man in a black robe stood outside the circle. He was said to be the most fearsome being on the entire continent of magic: the Abyssal Demon King, Sai La Si. They said a single look from him could freeze a whole city, and even the gods gave him a wide berth.

The Demon King looked down and saw a little cat lying in the middle of a blood-sacrifice circle.

The little cat saw him too. With practiced ease, she rolled onto her back, tucked in her paws, and turned her purring up to full volume.

"Human, you looked down at me. Don't tell me you feel nothing at all."

The Demon King said expressionlessly, "Where did this lowly demon beast come from?"

Three days later, the skeleton guards in the Demon Tower saw a cat hanging from His Majesty's cloak, a cat lying beside His Majesty's hand as he processed documents, and a cat sleeping on the forbidden spellbook capable of destroying the world.

His Majesty said, "I'm only observing it."

As he kept observing, he somehow ended up with seven custom-made cat beds and three mu of fish ponds in the hills behind the tower.

Later, the elderly pope of the Temple of Light leaned on his cane and blocked the entrance to the Demon Tower, tears streaming down his face. "Your Majesty, I've suffered from insomnia for forty years. Only your cat's purring can cure me. Let me get one sniff, just one!"

The Elf Queen came. The Dragon Clan Chief came. The hero even showed up with his holy sword, tossed it at the entrance, and knelt before the cat bed.

The entire magical world lined up to pet the cat, and the Demon King launched his defense campaign to protect his food.

In the middle of the cat bed, Nian Gao licked her paw and thought leisurely:

"Get in line. One cat treat per person. If you want to pet my Demon King, it's double."

And she still didn't know that her purr had roused more than just a few powerful figures...

Even the divine realm, asleep for ten thousand years, had pricked up its ears.
