【Eldritch god male lead × savior female lead | Everyone is devoted】
The author promises a happy ending. If it isn’t happy, the author will transmigrate into this world.
Synopsis One (romance-focused):
When Xiang Lü returns from military service, she finds Huan Yan acting strangely.
He is clearly an ordinary civilian with no official position, yet somehow he manages to get her out of the imperial dungeon with just a few words. When Xiang Lü asks him about it, he pretends to know nothing.
Whenever Xiang Lü tries to question him, she feels drowsy and unable to speak. In a daze, she notices tentacles curling around her ankle.
She still hasn’t asked her question by the time the emperor, that bastard, exiles her to the northern frontier to suppress bandits.
Fine, exile it is. The emperor is far away, and she’ll be free out there.
What Xiang Lü doesn’t expect is to find the people of her fallen homeland, who should have died, alive in the northern frontier.
Their fatal wounds appear to have healed, but they are still on the verge of collapse.
After a brief struggle, Xiang Lü chooses to lead these survivors in restoring the homeland that should no longer exist. She never expects that every move they make will be watched by “Heaven’s Mandate.”
Even more surprising, Huan Yan, who kept saying he would let her be free, has followed her there?!
At first, Xiang Lü only wants to part on good terms. The restoration of their homeland is a distant dream, and who knows what inhuman horrors may lie ahead? She doesn’t want to drag Huan Yan into it.
But soon, Xiang Lü realizes that Huan Yan isn’t human either. The man who saved her life and raised her for eight years, the man she loves, isn’t human?!
Only after being dragged into soft tentacles and having her senses stripped away before they resonate does Xiang Lü realize she has stumbled unwittingly into a battlefield in the struggle between inhuman beings.
-
It turns out all his tenderness was an act. Huan Yan has always been playing the part of a human, and even his chance encounter with Xiang Lü when she was a child fleeing her homeland was part of his long-laid plan.
The eldritch god wants to mark her as his wife, so he can only lead her step by step into an abyss where he is the only one.
Xiang Lü asks, “You’ve been lurking by my side for so long. Was it to possess me, or because you love me?”
Huan Yan: “Can’t it be for you?”
Tentacles coil around her layer upon layer, slowly seeping inside.
Huan Yan chuckles. “Don’t resist me. Accept my authority, accept everything that is mine.”
Synopsis Two (plot-focused):
This has never been a simple agrarian civilization.
Heaven’s Mandate watches over everything, and the world’s framework has locked away every civilization’s ability to advance.
Xiang Lü feels that there are gaps in her memories. After her country falls and her family is destroyed, she awakens from a dream of a prosperous mechanical civilization to find the world outside in ruins and far behind.
She disguises herself as an ordinary military officer and makes it through eight years. She never imagined that her lost homeland’s people had miraculously survived and would appear in the northern frontier.
She will restore her country.
She will rebuild the mechanical civilization in the sea of sand.
But when those mechanical dreams leave Chengjia, they turn into cold iron. The rules of this world do not belong to humanity.
The inhuman nature of Huan Yan, who took her in, gradually reveals itself, while Xiang Lü only belatedly notices that something is wrong with Chengjia.
Human death is insignificant. This has never been a world that belongs to humanity.
Why doesn’t this world belong to humanity?
After entering the struggle between inhuman beings, Xiang Lü had hoped to find a safe place.
But the safety she sought, caught between the old powers and Heaven’s Mandate, was like duckweed battered by rain, unable to take root.
She never wanted to be a savior, but the cries of the people left her unable to watch any more lives vanish so casually.
Xiang Lü’s unusual fate can interfere with causality, so she chooses to begin with love, devour the authority of the old powers, and stand against Heaven’s Mandate.
After all is said and done, it comes down to this:
A single thought, and she saves all living beings.
Note:
The author is into nonhuman characters, the heroine, villains, grand worldbuilding, savior plots, chuunibyou, and unusual kinks. If anything makes you uncomfortable, it’s probably the author’s personal tastes, not an intentional attempt to mistreat the characters.
Theme: People are born free and should not be bound
It broke and I updated one more chapter. I updated two chapters this morning [vomiting blood]

Hey, here comes the art tuition ()
Hey, it was made from the cover of Xiaohongshu. How come there are so few people? The title reminds me of a very ancient novel [Lop-eared Rabbit Head][Lopp-eared Rabbit Head][Lopp-eared Rabbit Head]
The handling here is wonderful, "Look at your people and your subjects, they are still there."
[Orange Candy] I got it, I really can't understand the ancient style, ugh
