For two years after losing Zhao Shaoshang, Yuan Hong was nothing but a soulless shell, bearing the pain of that loss alone. He waited only for war to come, so he could give his life for his country.
Heaven took pity on them: Zhao Shaoshang had not died, and in the end they were able to reunite and share their feelings.
But with the nation in peril, they each had their own responsibilities and ideals.
Their brief separation was so they could have a better reunion. Yuan Hong and the others decided to protect this ravaged land together and root out all darkness. They came to know and love each other, and in the end, stayed together.
Theme: Though war-torn times place mountains and seas between them, devotion can overcome every hardship. The two stay together and protect their country.

Am I the first one to read this update? I read it hundreds of times every day and there is no update. Even though I have a lot of work, I still have to read it after reading it.
I actually don't like to read this kind of sequel, but the TV series really makes me unhappy. I just want the two of them to have a good ending. But I don't know when the second season will come, so I wanted to check it out. I searched several but couldn't find it. But I really like this one. I like your story of Yuan Hong and Zhao Shaoshang. Although it is a bit different from what I understand, I really like it. The author is so awesome. I just can't get enough of it. I am anxious to wait for the update.
