A bold, high-energy gong with a broken thought process x a low-energy shou who's unruly on the surface but full of resentment underneath
A couple on a collision course
Welcome to Class Six. Adding one more person will only make our collective traits more balanced!
Please follow these rules:
1. Cultivating a spiritual root is hard, but you've been given a literary root. That's your good fortune.
2. Look in the mirror every day. You'll find you can't see your own face, because gods have no fixed form. Get ready to start the day brimming with confidence!
3. If you have good tea or food, remember to share! Remember to share! Remember to share!
The "new student," An Cen: ...Collective traits?
After spending a few days with them, he realized that their so-called collective trait was "mental illness," and that his classmates were so unhinged it was horrifying.
And his own "mental illness" was:
Going from the king of science to a prisoner of the humanities.
With his miserable humanities grades, he should find a tutor to help him catch up.
Tutor Lu Nianyao: What a coincidence, I had the same teacher. By seniority, you should call me your senior. Now you need to inherit my mantle and take on the duties of the fortieth junior disciple.
An Cen: What the heck!
Is there anyone normal at this school?
A little bonus scene:
"Xiaoyao, could you accept me?" Before the college entrance exams, An Cen fell in love with the person he respected most.
Holding his hand, he finally worked up the courage, but couldn't even bring himself to say "I love you."
Lu Nianyao understood the unspoken meaning and steeled himself. "There are ten days left before the college entrance exams. How do you expect me to answer?"
After his first confession failed, An Cen threw himself into his studies and pursued love, vowing to get into the same school as the person he loved.
After the Nth failed confession, he learned what it meant to give up, but still chose to cling to him.
*
As a tutor, Lu Nianyao did his best to fulfill his duties and carefully teach his one and only student. But one day, that student confessed to him.
An Cen had always relied on him, but beneath that dependence was an endless curiosity. He wanted to seep into Lu Nianyao's everyday life and solve the riddle that was "Lu Nianyao."
"Could you reject me?"
By reflex, Lu Nianyao always had a rejection ready on his lips, but this time he answered, "I can't."
An Cen's smile grew wider and wider.
Something seemed to have changed a long time ago. He'd only just realized it.
A few content warnings:
1. This is still a practice piece, probably a short story. I'm working on improving my storytelling skills orz.
2. Probably a school story with a jianghu vibe.
3. Somewhat of an ensemble cast.
4. The romance is slow-burn, and the plot will include a little mystery.
5. A fake teacher-student relationship. The romance only begins after the protagonists are adults.
Theme: Don't feel anxious, upset, or worried.
