Chinese language students returned to their hometowns to conduct oral research on family sacrifices, recording the forbearance of the past by two generations of women, comparing their roommates' anxiety about taking postgraduate entrance exams, analyzing the spiritual constraints brought by secular respectability in different eras, and writing about the involuntary inability shared by generations.
Purpose: Using the investigation of local culture in colleges and universities as a narrative carrier, using the life situations of three generations of women to compare the old and new eras, and dismantling the deep-rooted "decency" obsession of the Chinese people; not beautifying the ancestors, not harshly criticizing the world, and telling the common fate of ordinary people in every era being trapped in external evaluations and being pulled between their own inner self and the eyes of others. It has both the documentary value of local humanities and the introspective thinking of contemporary youth.
