What happens when the "trickster of the court" takes up volleyball?

The volleyball club's field reporter can tell you that every few days, the club has a new unlucky victim falling for one of their pranks. So far, though, the victim has always been the same person.

Thanks to the volleyball team drawing most of the heat, the golden-haired fox, Suna, can keep his photo collection growing at a steady pace.

"Finally, there's someone besides Kita who can keep him in line!" This was the heartfelt remark of some unnamed volleyball club member who loved to gripe.

"Nioh-kun's grades are truly reassuring." This was a relieved coach, after looking through several barely passing report cards and then finding one with excellent marks.

"Nioh-kun gets excellent grades in every subject. Of course, I wish he'd do just as well in my music class." This was the helpless lament of the music teacher.

A reporter asked, "Does player Nioh have anything to say before the match?"

The camera focused on a silver-haired player, who fiddled with his little braid and flashed a sly smile at the lens, just as he had at every pre-match interview in middle school.

"I suppose the catchphrase I've always used is still the best one." He looked into the camera and, along with the group watching the livestream all the way over in Kanagawa, said the words in unison once more:

"Victory in every match is our destiny."

"I love tennis, and I love volleyball. But I love freedom and the friends by my side even more. Those dazzling moments, full of surprises and joy, are my gift to everyone important to me."
