After Shen Suyan dies suddenly from working overtime, he transmigrates into a novel as a cannon-fodder canary who is an Alpha pretending to be an Omega. To stay alive, he disguises himself as a frail Omega and gets close to the villainous big shot.
He coughs every few steps and collapses every few more, stumbling right into the villain's arms.
Shen Suyan secretly pinches his thigh, looking pitiful: Cough, cough... Help me up.
Gu Xian sees right through his act and puts an arm around his waist: Where should I help you?
Shen Suyan: !

All Shen Suyan wants is to stay alive, make money, and get away from his cannibalistic family.
When the protagonist is kidnapped, Shen Suyan gets caught up in it and is taken too. Seeing Gu Xian come to the rescue, he blinks his watery eyes and pretends to faint. He coughs whenever trouble arises and passes out whenever he can't solve it, relying on Gu Xian's influence and status to escape danger time and again.
When he's finally made it through every dangerous scene, he clutches his aching backside and fakes his death to escape.

Gu Xian is the head of the Gu family, a powerful and untouchable figure of noble status in the capital. His wife died two years ago, and he has grown increasingly brooding and ruthless.
One night, at a club, he sees his supposedly helpless and delicate wife smash a bottle over the head of an Alpha who was bullying him. His gaze is defiant. There's no trace of illness about him.
His Omega wife has turned into an Alpha.
Shen Suyan looks up and sees Gu Xian. His heart skips a beat, but he keeps his composure, kicks the disgusting Alpha in front of him away, and turns to leave.
But in the hallway, a large hand yanks him into a corner. The familiar pheromones surge through his chest, setting the corners of his eyes ablaze.
The man in front of him grips his chin, a storm brewing in his eyes, and forces him to look up. "Wife, weren't you so frail and sickly?"
Shen Suyan's heart pounds wildly. "Get lost. I'm an Alpha!"
Gu Xian leans close to his ear, his voice dangerous. "I used to worry about hurting you, so I always gave in to you. Did I never tell you that I'm an Enigma?"
Shen Suyan: !!!
The unlucky runaway who's been caught gets punished like never before. His back is about to break.
