In Hangzhou, March rain never seems to end.
Shen Zhiyi, a twenty-six-year-old editor at South Window Publishing, is used to taking life slowly. Slowly enough to proofread a book three times, slowly enough to keep a half-closed door between herself and everyone else. A relationship from three years ago left an old wound. She hasn't rushed to heal it; she's simply learned not to be the one to approach someone first.
Until one rainy night, outside a cafe on Baoshu Road, she sees a man crouching beneath the eaves, shielding an entire city from the rain with one hand. In his palm is a bird that has fallen from its nest, one wing broken.
Theme: Two young people, each carrying their own scars, go from strangers to healing one another as the seasons turn in Hangzhou.
