A new bar called Her Crossing has opened beside Mu You University of Fine Arts.
Its owner is Shen Zhibai, a cultivator who's spent a thousand years being a lazy salted fish. His assistant is Hu Qi, a five-hundred-year-old spirit medium from the Northeast. On the surface, it's a women-only quiet bar with a supernatural theme; in reality, it's an all-purpose shop that helps the ghosts of women fulfill their lingering wishes in exchange for the power of faith. Hu Qi uses it to become an immortal. Shen Zhibai uses it to... well... she hasn't figured that out yet.
So here's the problem: ghosts can't possess cultivators or spirit mediums. They need to hire a part-timer to let the ghosts "stay" in her body for a while. As luck would have it, the naturally sunny Jiang Xiao shows up! She also brings along Hu Qi's old acquaintance, He Qingning.
And so their story begins...
