A New York Policewoman from the Mysterious East [Millennium]

Lin Annie, a full-blooded Chinese Gen Z woman, transmigrates to New York at the turn of the millennium. It's late 2001, a time of intense tension and chaos.

And she's a rookie patrol officer who has just started the job.

Lin Annie: Haha, I'm screwed.

Luckily, after transmigrating, Lin Annie gains a golden finger that lets her see crime scenes.

To avoid running around to crime scenes and facing a hail of bullets from drug dealers, she has no choice but to grit her teeth and build a reputation as a profiling genius.

From then on, the NYPD loses a rookie Chinese American female officer and gains a legend about mysterious Eastern powers:

They say that Lin, the major crimes expert, received an ancient Eastern inheritance. She can commune with spirits to seek justice for the dead, and use divination to find crucial clues that no one could uncover even by digging three feet underground.

The lunch boxes she casually makes are ridiculously delicious. She must use medicinal herbs as seasoning. Oh, right, she can also use qigong to stop bullets...

Lin Annie: I can let the first part slide, but that last one is definitely false!!

Question: What's it like being a rookie detective at the New York Police Department?

Lin Annie: Thanks for asking. I guess it's having everyone give you an awestruck look wherever you go, being kept at the center of a crowd of colleagues shouting, "Protect our master!" having every note you write treated like a talisman, and winning over a pack of ravenous kids at group dinners with a pot of cola chicken wings?

Theme: Promote Chinese culture and protect the people of the world.
