Jiang Xi × Lin Yu
"There are two cowards in Muhua County."
Years ago, Lin Yu left his hometown. Now, he boarded a bus back to Muhua County to visit a grave. On the bus, he ran into Jiang Xi, who had grown up with him. He'd thought Jiang Xi would move to a big city after graduating from college, but instead, Jiang Xi had become a tour guide.
He thought it would be an uneventful trip, but one strange thing after another began to happen. A voice suddenly sounded from beneath their feet. The bus's TV flickered with static, then suddenly filled with the red word "Patient." A fellow traveler had no shadow, and paper money suddenly appeared in their backpack when they went to pay. In the hotel, a woman's hair hanging above their heads flashed past their vision.
And every day, after three in the morning, the two of them would wake up on the bus again. June 31, a day they couldn't escape, kept repeating itself.
As the past slowly fell into place, the hidden darkness lurking in Muhua City began to corrupt everyone, little by little.
Theme: Good and evil follow us like shadows. It's not that retribution never comes; its time simply hasn't arrived.
