Four years ago, Sang You left gunfire and blades behind, moved to Hong Kong with her family, got promoted and a raise, and reached a new peak in life.
Then one day, her younger sister called: "Sis, Qing's ex-boyfriend is getting out of prison. Do me a favor."
"Take him out?"
"Keep an eye on him."
Her new assignment was to watch over Qiu Gang'ao, a former police officer just released from prison, for six months. She thought it would be her last shift before transferring to a new post, but instead she got caught up in a conspiracy of infighting among the powerful and gang warfare.
Qiu can't die or be crippled, so cooperation is the only option. "You're saying things will calm down if we kill Wong Kun, Szeto Kit, and Ho Siu-tung? Then let's make it buy three, get one free, and take out Choi Yuen-kee too."
Content warning: Original female lead, no romance, plot-focused, with some mention of GL involving minor characters. Qiu Gang'ao is ruthless, but the heroine is even more ruthless. Both have their own storylines. They fight each other without letting it get in the way of working together, and kill their way through it side by side.
The main storyline ties together Cold War, Raging Fire, and The Prosecutor. Characters from Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In, The Shadow's Edge, various Hong Kong crime films, and the author's earlier work, Nest, make guest appearances.
Theme: Unofficial lore claims that Raging Fire is actually a prequel to Cold War
As expected of the old version of the invincible villain, Ninth Brother is still full of arms and legs and alive and kicking after all these years.
The four boys all have white hair, and Luo Jun is middle-aged, but our Ninth Brother is still coquettish [Are we all so invulnerable? Ninth Brother [caidog]]

In ancient times, Kong Ming captured Meng Huo seven times; today, Zhang An captured Wang Jiu seven times.
Aha! I would say they are a perfect match! But to be honest, although Qiu is very charming in the movie and his brain circuitry is there for a reason, he is sick. Ah Qing is really miserable.
Sang Lan and A Qing... Is it my sex brain or is there something wrong with the atmosphere between them 😂
Good guy, seven in and seven out, Wang Jiu, you are worthy of being [Glasses]
