Guiwan [Reborn] Gl

In her previous life, she was the daughter of the Guardian General. She defended the northern frontier for three years, went without food for three months, and traded her flesh and blood for a hard-won victory. Her only regret as she went to her death was never having the chance to ask Lin Shuangxu to her face: Was the person you planned to marry the crown prince, or me? When she opened her eyes again, she was an ignored concubine-born daughter in the Minister of Revenue's household. After nearly drowning, her temperament changed dramatically. Her legal mother despised her, while her father treated her as a pawn to curry favor with the powerful. On the night of the palace banquet, she climbed onto an old palace wall for some air, only to encounter the female chancellor who held power over the court. Lin Shuangxu stood in the snow and wind, her gaze passing over her as if she were a stranger. "Are you lost?" Lin Shuangxu asked. She lowered her head and said yes. "Which family are you from?" "The Minister of Revenue's residence... Jiang Su." Lin Shuangxu nodded, as if committing an unimportant name to memory. "It's windy here. Return to the banquet soon." Then she turned and left, without the slightest hesitation. Standing atop the palace wall, she watched the red-robed figure disappear into the wind and snow. Something seemed to bore dully into her chest. She couldn't say what it was: relief, or disappointment? What she didn't see was that after walking a long way, Lin Shuangxu suddenly stopped and looked back toward the palace wall. The wind was strong, whipping her robes about. A moment later, she lowered her eyes and continued on. Some people pass each other without leaving anything behind. But the wind and snow that night remembered many things. "She thought their reunion would be as strangers, never knowing that someone had been keeping watch over her, waiting through an entire cycle of rebirth." The complete novel is finished and ready to read. I hope you'll share your thoughts on the extra chapters; I can update them. As I've said before, my writing skills aren't great, and I often write wherever my thoughts take me. Please forgive me if there are things you don't like. Writing isn't easy, so if you don't like it, please don't read or flame me. If you do like it, feel free to leave a comment and tell me. Thank you all for your support!
