Gathering Spirits

[Living beings number in the thousands upon the earth, and each has its own place among the stars above. The spirit is the star spirit of all things, the original purpose and will that protects all living beings. To lose one's spirit is to lose one's original purpose. Thus, to pacify the spirits is to keep the star lords above from being disturbed, and to keep the original purpose of all spirits from wavering. In other words, it is to gather in the spirits.]

Adapted from an interpretation of part of the Beidou Scripture

Q: "Who are you, exactly?"

A: "Oi, just an ordinary spirit-gatherer."

Reading guide:

1. A powerful heroine with many secrets x a hero who grows over time, becoming equally strong later on. The leads are mutually devoted, with no heartbreak or angst. A sweet, plot-driven story!

2. The story has two points of view and some unusual worldbuilding, so things may seem strange or disconnected at first. Please be patient; it will all make sense later.
