At the Mid-Autumn Festival family dinner, the Tan and Lian families are together for once.
During the meal, Lian's father waits for his son-in-law Tan Zhe to offer him a toast. They have several rounds of drinks, but the father-in-law and son-in-law still haven't completed this little ritual.
Tan's father nudges his son. “Your father-in-law can really hold his liquor. Don't be stingy with him.”
Just as Tan Zhe slowly raises his glass, Lian Keyi can't stand his pathetic behavior any longer and announces, “We're getting divorced. It's only natural that he doesn't want to toast you.”
After the evening ends on a sour note
Lian's mother: “Is he seeing someone else?”
Lian Keyi: “Probably not.”
-
Tan's mother: “You're so busy, surely you don't have time to fool around behind her back. Someone from our hospital?”
Tan Zhe: “I'm not interested in chickens or dogs.”
-
The Tan and Lian parents: “Then why are you getting divorced?”
A) A series about middle-aged married life: the wife works outside the home, the husband doesn't do housework, and after seven years of marriage, 99 percent of the kitchenware is still brand-new. No greasy cooking or mischief.
B) Miss Lian is convinced divorce is a fountain of youth. Doctor Tan stays up all night searching for a guide to managing divorce symptoms.
Theme: Treat minor illnesses early. Never avoid seeing a doctor for fear of the diagnosis.
