"The Complete Chronicle of the Dabie Mountains' Countryside" is a series of books that the author has been writing for more than ten years and traveled to more than 40 counties in the Dabie Mountains region of Hubei, Henan, and Anhui Provinces. The book consists of twenty volumes. It is based on on-the-spot field visits, elders' oral records, collation of steles and local chronicles, and evidence from archaeological collections to rescue and organize the thousand-year-old local culture of the Dabie Mountains that is on the verge of disappearing.
