Mai Peng has a fear of men. This includes, but is not limited to, blushing, stammering, and sweating so much when speaking to men that people get the wrong idea; getting nervous whenever several men walk toward her on the street; and, needless to say, physical contact. Even a polite handshake makes her feel so repulsed that her stomach turns.
When it rains, it pours. One day, she became bound to a System that claimed to be from an otome game.
The System's missions included, but were not limited to: shaking hands with Male Candidate No. 1; having a friendly conversation with Male Candidate No. 2; and making an initial connection with Male Candidate No. 3.
Mai Peng gave a scornful laugh and thought nothing of it... but the System was offering far too much.
So she gritted her teeth and went along with it. She shook hands with Male Candidate No. 1, looking sick as a dog, then turned around and threw up. She awkwardly chatted with Male Candidate No. 2 while avoiding his eyes, then moved house that very night. She threw caution to the wind and approached Male Candidate No. 3, who thought she was possessed by some filthy spirit...
Mai Peng smiled cheerfully and said that those were all just minor embarrassing mishaps.
Because her whole worldview had been overturned too, after a night when she was hunted by monsters.

Even a century later, the dark years under the rule of the tyrant were still engraved in the genes of every vampire. Back then, no one could have imagined that the terrifying tyrant who had slaughtered the thirteen pure-blood families with ruthless force and nearly wiped out the entire vampire race would become an ordinary human.
Elyar never imagined that the beloved he had personally given the First Embrace and placed upon the throne would, on their most intimate night, plunge a piece of silver infused with holy water into his heart. Nor did he imagine that he would meet her again a century later.
His new heart, beating amid the pain, constantly warned him.
But he discovered that those people were still coveting her.
Just as they had a century ago.
Notes:
1. This is not a capture-focused otome game. Every male lead falls in love at first sight and loves her to the point of madness.
2. A brainless, melodramatic story, written in a simple, amateur style.
Theme: Keep striving and never give up.
