[Short story, fully written and ready to read]
After eighteen carefree years, Ruan Tang discovered he was a fake young master who had taken the place of the real one.
Though he was allowed to stay, he no longer dared to act spoiled with his parents and older brother. Every move he made was obedient and ingratiating.
He felt deeply guilty toward Duan Qingye, the real young master, and did everything he could to care for and make it up to him.
But he messed everything up.
Like the vicious cannon-fodder character in a novel, he handed Duan Qingye a glass of drugged water and made a terrible mistake.
After one reckless night, he found himself on an unfamiliar street.
It was the ninth year after his death.
Being hated by everyone and dying was the best possible ending. Ruan Tang didn't contact anyone. He wanted to start over.
He was penniless and got pushed around at work, until someone pulled him into a protective embrace.
The man was dressed in black, like he was in mourning. Afraid of startling him, he spoke in a barely audible voice. "Ruan Tang?"
Ruan Tang never expected to run into Duan Qingye.
Thinking back on everything that had happened, he was sure Duan Qingye must hate him. But Duan Qingye put the past behind them and took him home.
Nine years had passed. The awkward, taciturn boy had become refined and elegant, mature and composed.
Duan Qingye looked after him with the patience of an older man, arranging everything for him and even kneeling to put on his shoes. He made Ruan Tang feel like the pampered young master he used to be.
The real and fake young masters were finally getting along peacefully, until
Ruan Tang found the results of his recent medical checkup.
The mistake they had made that night was still having consequences. He was pregnant, and Duan Qingye had known all along.
His instinct was to run, but Duan Qingye caught him.
The man stood cloaked in darkness like a demon from hell. His voice was tender, but laced with madness.
"Tangtang, are you going to abandon me again?"
After the moon fell, the Ruan household sank into silence, and regret consumed everyone.
As the tenth anniversary of his death approached, the Ruan family discovered their lost treasure, his belly swollen with pregnancy as he nestled against a man.
Their own son was pleading with Ruan Tang, trying to coax a smile out of him.
When Duan Qingye noticed them watching, he glared at them like a wolf guarding its food, refusing to let them come any closer.
One year later, at the Ruan Group headquarters.
A pretty young man carrying a child came looking for President Duan.
People around them whispered, assuming it was some schemer trying to force his way into the family and demand recognition.
The usually cold President Duan rushed over, his eyes full of love and his manner incredibly gentle.
Ruan Tang's parents and older brother even shouldered Duan Qingye aside to fuss over him, as if the young man were their own precious son.
Everyone: ???
Little bonus scene
The baby was one year old, but Ruan Tang still had the habits he'd picked up during pregnancy. He lay contentedly in Duan Qingye's arms.
The man nipped the tip of his ear. "Nine years is 3,288 days. That's an average of seven times a night. You'd better make it up to me, darling."
Ruan Tang: ??? Seven times what?
In the hazy night, Ruan Tang's gaze went unfocused. He touched his slightly rounded belly, dazed enough to think he was pregnant again.
From then on, day and night, Ruan Tang struggled to pay off his debt.
Coming soon: My Little Incubus Holds Out Until He Can Flee with an Egg
Once an incubus comes of age, he has to fend for himself and find a human to support him long-term.
But Shen Feiran was underdeveloped, with almost no powers of seduction. He kept getting rejected and mocked by his kind.
Just as he was about to faint from hunger, he finally found a top-quality human who had lost his memory.
You're not supposed to pick up men on the side of the road. By the usual conventions, they'll either betray and abandon you or kill your entire family.
The little incubus didn't care. His wish was very simple.
He presented the man with the awful meal he'd cooked himself, his eyes sparkling. "You scratch my back, I'll scratch yours. I'll feed you, so you have to keep me full, too."
With that, he whipped off his pants.
The top-quality human: ...?!

A month later, Shen Feiran returned to his clan and was given digestive tablets, followed by tonics.
His people teased him, telling him to show restraint and take care of his human if he wanted their relationship to last.
Shen Feiran swallowed the rumors with tears in his eyes.
The truth was, the digestive tablets were for him, and so were the tonics.
Humans were terrifying. One of them had outdone an incubus when it came to carnal excess.
Even an incubus couldn't handle seven rounds a day!
He was so full, he felt like throwing up.
His kidneys felt weak, and his back ached.
The little incubus was force-fed until he went through a second growth spurt and laid an egg.
He couldn't bear to live on tonics and digestive tablets anymore. On the first day he fled while carrying his egg, the man disappeared too.
A handsome man with amnesia is usually the young master of some wealthy family, and once he regains his memory, he returns to his old life.
But Fu Xiaolin's story went a little differently. He was actually a god worshipped by generations of a wealthy family.
He always felt he'd forgotten something important, and it tormented him every day.
Then one day, he saw a beauty walking with a child. His heart raced, and he fell in love at first sight.
The beauty clearly belonged to someone else. Fu Xiaolin didn't mind becoming the other man and planned to arrange a lovely first meeting.
Their eyes met. The beauty turned pale and retched in disgust. "Ugh."
#I held on until the mere sight of his face made me sick#
#The terror of being ruled by tonics and digestive tablets came rushing back#
Coming soon: The CEO's Widowed Life with a Child, Twelve Years Later
The wealthy Ji and Shen families were sworn enemies, yet news spread that they were going to be joined in marriage.
One was a free spirit, the other wild and unruly. They clashed constantly, but were remarkably compatible in bed.
To make the most of their compatibility, they both threw themselves into the task, until Ji Zhufeng started throwing up so often that he went to the doctor and discovered he was pregnant.
Ji Zhufeng: "I'm a man! I can give birth too?!"
The baby's arrival eased the tension between them, and they only argued once in a while.
On an entirely ordinary day, a misunderstanding led the couple to fall out. In a fit of anger, Ji Zhufeng left home.
He was gone for twelve years.
Standing on an unfamiliar street, he heard that Shen Jinnian, now thirty-six, was going to marry someone else.
Realizing he had transmigrated twelve years into the future, Ji Zhufeng resolved to make a fortune and fight for custody of the baby.
But he couldn't adapt to the changes of the times and kept running into obstacles. Swallowing his grievances, he called Shen Jinnian. "I agree to the divorce, but you have to give me half the money."
There was silence on the other end for half a minute. Then a low, quiet voice replied, "We're not getting divorced. Everything is yours."
Ji Zhufeng finally returned to the home he knew. He was so excited to hug his sweet little darling.
The soft, round little dumpling he remembered was nowhere to be found. A rebellious, awkward teenage boy looked down his nose at him. "What an arrogant replacement. How dare you come into this house?"
"..."
Ji Zhufeng smiled, deciding to teach him a lesson in the power of blood ties.
His big boy ran around the entire courtyard like a chased chicken. Wailing, he spotted his savior and rushed over with shining eyes. "Dad! This replacement's gone crazy. Get him out of here!"
Shen Jinnian grabbed him by the shoulder and made him stand at attention. "Let me introduce you. This is your real dad."
???!
As a rebellious, awkward middle-aged youth, Ji Zhufeng soon subdued his big boy.
He waited on him hand and foot, serving tea and water and doing whatever he was told, completely devoted.
Ji Zhufeng was pleased with everything, except...
After twelve years apart, Shen Jinnian, once wild and unruly, had turned into a stern daddy and a cool, ascetic Buddha.
Ji Zhufeng: Tch. What a poser.
No matter how much trouble he caused or how deliberately difficult he was, Shen Jinnian cared for him with warmth and patience, never arguing or quarreling.
It felt like living with a stranger. Ji Zhufeng found it boring and wanted to run away again.
But this time, he didn't get to leave.
The man fixed him with a dangerous stare, keys dangling from his fingertips as he coaxed Ji Zhufeng to come and take them if he wanted to leave.
Ji Zhufeng's heart raced, and a shiver ran down his spine like an electric current.
Wonderful! He'd finally gotten what he'd been waiting for!
For the next three days, whoever wanted to leave would be a puppy.
In the hazy night, tears glistening in his eyes, Ji Zhufeng couldn't even hold himself up. He ingratiatingly nuzzled the man's neck. "Woof."
I'm a puppy. Let me out.
A man who's been pent up for twelve years is terrifying.
The rumor that the love interest was going to marry someone else was false. He remained devoted to the end.
