Casper had been a vampire for a thousand years, and he didn’t actually like biting people. Yet someone was always coming over and pressuring him to do it.
Come on, wasn’t I the vampire?
One time, he opened the door to find Gin standing there, inexplicably angry again, his expression dark. Casper could only take the other man’s finger between his lips, fighting back tears.
One morning, he saw Scotland preparing breakfast. Casper waited expectantly, only to be given a cup of red liquid. He glanced at the other man’s wrist and could only drink it with resignation.
Another day at noon, while he was out strolling, he ran into Bourbon, covered in wounds. Faced with an ambiguous request, Casper could only lick the streaks of blood on the other man’s chest.
Then one night, he opened the door to find Rye trying to sell himself. Casper frowned, grabbed him, and dragged him inside to sleep, taking a bite from his neck for a late-night snack.

The men each had their own agendas. At first, they hated the vampire, wanted him dead, and used him...
But in the end, they wanted him to live.
And Casper only wanted to die.
When everything finally fell apart, he stood in the sunlight and looked at them. At last, he got the ending he had wished for.

1. Angsty melodrama 2.0, coming in strong.
2. The bomb disposal squad won’t be involved in this one, but they still get to live, yeah.
3. Every common trigger you can think of is flagged in advance. Read at your own risk. Fans of either the top or the bottom should proceed cautiously. This is probably only for readers with no dealbreakers who love wicked melodrama.
4. The romance is very messy. The vampire has lived too long to have any regard for love or morality.
Theme: Love gives us the courage to keep living.
