As I write these stories, I am a person right in the middle of a theater.
I saw some people exhaust all their enthusiasm for an exam, some people learned the perfect fake smile to fit in with others, and some people broke down in the circle of friends late at night and deleted them instantly. There is me and you in these stories, but I don't want them to be easily defined as "cruel youth."
I prefer to call them "woke ironies."
I named it CuRtAin, which means both Curtain and Curt. I hope that this collection of novels can be like a curtain that suddenly closes, interrupting the choreographed narrative of youth that you are accustomed to. Please be silent, not because you have nothing to say, but because you want the truth that has been drowned by the noise to surface.
If you see yourself in it, don't take it personally. All you need to know is that in the summer when you were sixteen, someone kept an unedited live record for you in words.
So, please be silent and watch the show.
Purpose: A collection of short youth satire and sadistic novels
