"I" go back to my hometown in the countryside every summer vacation. There is a row of hibiscus trees at the door. The third tree has the most colorful flowers. On the first day of summer vacation, "I" saw a girl in a white skirt facing the sun under a tree, and I could never see her face clearly.
Throughout the summer vacation, when my parents quarreled, "I" would run to the tree with my homework in my arms. The girl will comfort "me" and teach "me" how to do the questions. She knows everything, never sleeps, and her voice is both familiar and unfamiliar. She told "me" that the hibiscus flower bloomed and fell, dying and living one day at a time, so it was called "Infinite Flower".
On the last day of summer vacation, the girl took "me" to the pit in the center of the open space. She turned around - and I saw her face. Single eyelids, round smile pits, and a mole on the right temple. She is "my" ideal self, the person "I" could have been.
She buried "me". The moment the soil covered my eyes, "I" closed my eyes - and then opened them again, it was the first day of summer vacation again. Under the third hibiscus tree, there is still a girl in a white skirt standing.
This time, "I" walked towards her.
Intention: Growth is nothing but burying yourself with your own hands. But your better self will always stand in the light and wait for you.
