[Golden Age 45] Neither of Us Doubts the Other

A derivative work based on the interactive game A Thriving Age: Li Tai x Wu Yuanzhao, a suspicious man x an ambitious woman, happy ending.

Plot in one sentence: Find a way to reach a happy ending despite the game's unavoidable death scenario.

Plot in two sentences: How do you make a suspicious person believe you love them? Answer: Say it a few more times.

[Please read before starting]

1. This is a free story. Please don't insult the author or post comments that could cause arguments.

2. It follows the original work, forcibly bending a new story route into a happy ending. If you haven't played the game, you won't understand it.

3. To recreate the game's style of writing, this story is told in the second person from Wu Yuanzhao's perspective. You can imagine yourself in the role if that works for you, but my way of writing doesn't quite align the reader's perspective with the “you” perspective, and Wu Yuanzhao has a very distinct personality, so it may be hard to do.

4. The premise is a modern woman transmigrating into a game. But the heroine has the same name and roughly the same personality as the game's Wu Yuanzhao. Most importantly, every choice made by the game's Wu Yuanzhao is made by “you,” so “you” are Wu Yuanzhao. There is no otherworldly soul replacing the original character. After all, just as point 4 says, someone like you can't be convincingly played by anyone else.

5. Some plot ideas are inspired by real history (noted in the author's comments), but this fanfiction is ultimately a derivative of A Thriving Age. The story is as empty as the original game. I played the Steam version, so characters who appeared in The Meiniang Chapter use their original names, while the characters and place names in The Empress Chapter have been changed to sanitized versions.

6. I'll add more if I think of anything.

Theme: Love can save everything.
