A Female Factory Worker in the 1960s Awakens to On-Screen Comments

In a large family, even with the distinction of being one half of a boy-girl twin pair, Lin Jinyan is still not loved.

The firstborn, a daughter with a place in the family; the second child, a son who is valued; the third sister, who curries favor with their parents and earns herself a little influence; and her twin younger brother.

[If she hadn't changed her path because of her younger sister, she could have seen the job opening at the porcelain factory and stayed in the city.]

Lin Jinyan is startled, but more than fear, she feels overjoyed.

The porcelain factory is hiring!!!

Lin Jinyan knows all too well that she can't afford to let any opportunity that comes her way slip past.

So she starts with the basics: mixing clay and throwing pots. Gradually, she masters carving, painting, glazing...
