"Hunting Crime Illustrated Book Three Hidden Reefs"
Story introduction
At an abandoned fishing port along the coast of Shishi City, at three o'clock in the morning, a male body was washed up on the reef beach by the tide. The deceased's face was severely damaged, his fingerprints were corroded, and his only belongings were a copper badge with the word "Sea Erosion" engraved on it.
This seemingly ordinary case of an unknown corpse unexpectedly involved criminal police officers Shen Yi and Du Cheng of the Beijiang Branch who were on vacation. At the invitation of Qiu Shangpei, an old friend of Shishi Police, to assist in the investigation, Shen Yi relied on his talent in portraiture to reconstruct the face of the deceased from the skull - which turned out to be a key witness in an unsolved case ten years ago.
However, the case took a turn for the worse when Qiu Shangpei's younger brother, local aquatic product businessman Qiu Shangxing, accidentally identified the deceased. The deceased had been the accountant of a smuggling gang during his lifetime, and the core figure of that gang seemed to be lurking in the shadows of the small town of Shishi.
What's even more disturbing is that the murderer always seems to be one step ahead of the police - every time Shen Yi draws a key clue, the evidence will be destroyed in advance. Someone was by their side, taking care of every step.
When Shen Yi turned his attention to the lighthouse that had been eroded by the sea wind for hundreds of years, he discovered that the real reef was never in the sea, but in the depths of people's hearts.
