"Stone Lion·Silent Testimony"
Story background:
Shishi City on the southeast coast is a city famous for its commerce and trade, where the old and the new are intertwined. The sea breeze carries the salty and humid atmosphere, and deep old alleys are hidden behind the bustling commercial streets. In the darkness of this city, a silent hunt is quietly unfolding.
Core cases:
In just one month, three bizarre murders occurred in Shishi. The identities of the deceased varied - a local garment factory owner, a young migrant girl, and a retired fisherman. There seems to be no connection between the three people, but each corpse has a strange common feature: the palm of the deceased's right hand is engraved with an ancient Minnan symbol - "Shi Gandang".
The protagonist intervenes:
Provincial forensic doctor Qin Ming was urgently transferred to Shishi to assist the local police in detecting the case. When he first arrived in this unfamiliar coastal city, Qin Ming not only had to face the inspection difficulties caused by the rapid decay of corpses in the hot and humid climate, but also had to adapt to the complex human network and unique folk culture of Shishi.
Key clues:
As the autopsy progressed, Qin Ming discovered:
• The times of death of the three deceased persons all corresponded exactly to specific tidal moments of the lunar month;
• A rare deep-sea algae toxin remains in the body, which is only found in the "Ghost Reef" waters off Shishi;
• There is an old yellowed photo left at each crime scene. The photo shows the same place - the "Yongning Ancient Ferry" that was abandoned in the 1980s.
Escalation of conflict:
Just as Qin Ming was trying to piece together the clues, the fourth murder occurred. This time, the deceased was a local female nurse who had just finished the night shift, and in addition to the "Shi Gan Dang" symbol, there was also an extra line of words engraved on her palm: "Next, you are the one."
This line of words is like the murderer's provocation to the police, and more like a warning to Qin Ming.
Deep mystery:
Qin Ming had to delve into Shishi's past. He found that all the clues pointed to a dusty maritime accident thirty years ago - a fishing boat named "Fu Xing" sank near the Ghost Reef. All twelve crew members on board were killed, but the captain was missing. The owner of that ship was the father of the first deceased; the old fisherman's brother was once the first mate on the ship...
Edge of truth:
When Qin Ming finally identified the suspect, the other party suddenly surrendered and confessed. All the evidence is perfectly closed and the case seems to be about to be solved.
But Qin Ming stared at the autopsy report and always felt that something was wrong——
A forensic doctor's intuition told him: the real murderer was still hiding in the shadows.

End of introduction:
Every wound speaks, and every dead person has unfinished last words.
In the sea breeze of the stone lions, Qin Ming heard the whispers from the abyss.
Is that an innocent soul from thirty years ago, or is it a gap of desire that cannot be filled in the hearts of living people?
The truth is hidden under the eternally silent blue.
