The Cuckoo in the Magpie's Nest

When Meng Weiyi had just started middle school, her father went overseas to expand the business. Three years later, the overseas factory was up and running, and her father returned for good, bringing a mother and son with him. Everyone said Liang Chen’an had come to take her inheritance. Meng Weiyi couldn’t agree more. Especially when Liang Chen’an joined her father’s company straight after graduating from university and made a name for himself. That only convinced her further that he had ulterior motives. But before Liang Chen’an could take over the family, her father suddenly fell ill. Several uncles bared their fangs first, trying to leave her with nothing. With nowhere else to turn, Meng Weiyi used underhanded methods to force Liang Chen’an to help her protect the company. What she didn’t know was that Liang Chen’an had never wanted to take over the Meng family’s nest. He wanted to claim her, the magpie. Fake-siblings, enemies-to-lovers, with a bit of taking by force. Golden-retriever girl versus cold, gloomy guy who acts like he doesn’t care. I think it’s supposed to be a sweet story. Theme: Hard work pays off.
