The Tyrant and the Young Lady Are a Perfect Match

Fujiwara Ayano was born into an aristocratic family, but lost her sight to illness at the age of seven. From then on, she became extreme and volatile, but her parents only grew more doting toward their daughter, who had suffered such a cruel fate. They did their best to satisfy every request she made.

When Fujiwara Ayano was twenty-four, she met the poor, gambling-addicted Zenin Toji.

At first, Zenin Toji didn't care. As long as he looked after the young lady, he'd have enough money to last ten lifetimes.

Until one day...

"Why do you spend every day feeling sorry for yourself? So what if you're blind? Your parents still treat you like the apple of their eye. You get whatever you want. There are plenty of people in this world who are far more miserable and unfortunate than you."

"So what if your family looks down on you and rejects you? You're not still there, are you? You've got four working limbs. Can't you go wherever you want? I'd take any fate at all if I could just have a healthy body!"

Inspired by Junichiro Tanizaki's A Portrait of Shunkin.

A young lady who is blind and spoiled by her family, making her extreme and volatile, vs. the Heavenly Restriction Tyrant, born with zero cursed energy, scorned and looked down on by his family, and left to give up on himself.

In every way, they're a perfect match. It's a dark version of The Gift of the Magi. Each possesses what the other desperately wants but can never have.

P.S. I did some research and got inspired. I've worked out the plot and am writing a relatively normal story for once. I'll update daily, though the word count per update is uncertain.

Theme: Love is patient and kind.
