The Wrong Bridal Sedan: A Young Man Marries an Old Man

Liu Sifu is a young man from the family of the governor of Cao Commandery. He is supposed to marry his childhood sweetheart, the third son of the governor of Wu Commandery, but a twist of fate sends the wedding procession to the residence of the Inspector of Jinzhou instead. That very night, the marriage is consummated.

It is his first marriage, and he is so dazed that he only realizes the next morning that his husband has a different face. No, not a different face: he has become a different person. His husband has changed from an eighteen-year-old youth into a cold-faced devil in his thirties. The deed is done, and the red plum blossom mark has bloomed. Liu Sifu cries helplessly, not knowing what to do.

Fortunately, his new husband, known as the “Cold-Faced Butcher,” does not send him back to his parents' home.

His childhood sweetheart even comes looking for him, hoping to secretly rekindle their old romance. As Liu Sifu recalls their time together, he really does feel tempted.

But his new husband catches him before he can stray. It turns out his childhood sweetheart orchestrated the mistaken marriage because he wants to marry a princess and become emperor...

And Liu Sifu is already pregnant after just one month! Wasn't his new husband said to have remained unmarried into middle age to hide the fact that he couldn't have children?
