The man, usually so cheerful and warm, began to reveal his true nature. His heavy gaze followed her everywhere.
She had never been one for long relationships. The only reason she had stayed with Adriel this long was that he was exceptionally strict with her, but that didn't stop someone new from appearing in her life.
That someone was Ling Zheng.
He was also an international student, handsome and scholarly, with a warm, humorous personality. He seemed much more reasonable than Adriel and didn't look like the type to make a scene over nothing.
So Yu Wan said she'd fallen for Ling Zheng and asked Adriel to break up.
"I don't have feelings for you anymore."
"Let's break up."
Adriel looked at her for a while, then, quite unexpectedly, agreed.
But that very night, he pinned her to the bed and kept her there until morning.
"Didn't you say you didn't have feelings for me anymore?" the man chuckled in her ear.
"Baby, why do you love to lie so much?"

After hanging up on Adriel for the forty-fifth time, Yu Wan finally got the call to board.
She got on the plane, found her seat, and let out a long breath, thinking she'd finally escaped him.
Then a pair of warm, strong hands suddenly wrapped around her waist from behind.
The familiar voice sounded behind her, low and hoarse. "Baby, how could you leave me out of something as important as our wedding?"
Yu Wan turned around, and a pair of green eyes glinting with a chilling smile met hers.
It was Adriel, the man she'd left behind.
"What did I say last time? How many times would I punish you if you left me again?"
