But if you approach him to strike up a conversation and ask who he is, all you get is an utterly ordinary reply. “I’m just a househusband.” -- Yabe Masao is a monster from another world, with no official identity whatsoever. His unique racial ability saves Hagiwara from nearly dying in an explosion. After that, he becomes the househusband of Hagiwara and his childhood friend, looking after their daily needs and meals. But his instincts are constantly clamoring. He wants to mate, to multiply, to lay eggs. Those instincts gradually grow too strong for Hagiwara and Matsuda to satisfy, so lately he has begun looking elsewhere, scouting for more incubators. -- Hagiwara and Matsuda have been feeling strange lately. They haven’t eaten much, yet their stomachs feel heavy. They joke with each other, “Keep eating like that and Masao might start finding you unattractive.” They have no idea that this is Masao’s way of being considerate. Creating offspring across species places too much strain on the incubators. He can only help the two of them adapt little by little. In Yabe Masao’s eyes, their bodies are being relentlessly crowded by round objects packed inside them. -- It’s best to choose physically strong incubators. Yabe Masao has no patience to help the next ones adapt the way he helped those two, so he has a brainwave and sends one of his secret identities into the Organization. To keep the story flowing, the author’s setting is that the four characters died in the line of duty within two years, in the same order as canon. Chapter one begins two years before Conan’s story. This is a deeply outrageous story, so please don’t read if that’s not your thing. 2. He’s the center of everyone’s affection, and they’re all Masao’s love interests, perfectly happy with that arrangement. Slight cosmic horror, slight scares (maybe?). The protagonist isn’t human and pulls some wild stunts. He’s ridiculously overpowered. 3. Chaotic neutral. Since they dote on each other, and the five-person group is around, the tentacles can’t do anything too awful. It’s a relatively lighthearted story.
