[Horror Anthology] Li Sanguang in Harran

The pharmacy was only a few buildings away. They were all five or six stories tall, so the three of them had no choice but to climb up using the security grilles and air-conditioning units on the outside walls. By the time they reached a high spot, Luna hadn't even seen what was happening below when she heard the sharp crack of gunfire: Bang! Bang-bang!

The pharmacy was diagonally below the building they were standing on, and Luna could now see the person fighting the robbers on the ground: someone in an obviously expensive combat uniform, wielding a handsome three-shot pistol.

By the time they got there, all three robbers had already been shot dead. The guy in uniform was covered in blood, too, and stumbled on his feet. Luna glanced at the blood on his face and his hair, stained red with it. The guy was a blond, of all things. She figured he was damn near certain to have a concussion.

"Laxin, carry him," Luna called to the boy, who was dragging the man, now on the verge of collapsing, toward the back door. "He can't walk."

"How am I supposed to get over the roof carrying him?" Laxin shouted back.

"I'll give you a boost," Luna said. She knew the place fairly well. "Go up from the second-floor balcony. You can do it."

The man stubbornly cut in, "I can walk." But his knees immediately said otherwise. He stumbled again, then changed his tune. "All right, I can't walk."

A Resident Evil 4 remake AU: parkour and survival amid hordes of zombies. The heroine is an original character, the plot meanders, and the romance is shrouded in thick fog.

Theme: Running free with the wind, chasing the power of thunder and lightning.
