After the System kicked him into the human world, the little elf Eli figured out that he had to complete all the achievements in the human world before he could truly awaken his elven magic.

He looked at the long list of workplace achievements in his handbook and puffed out his chest in front of Yun Group’s headquarters. “An elf of the proletariat isn’t afraid of capitalists!”

But an illiterate elf can’t compete with a human college graduate.

Eli trudged out of the interview room, dejected, but a tall, stern-looking man in a suit stared at him through the crowd.

The assistant beside him didn’t dare make a sound.

But the boss with bipolar disorder still didn’t have an episode. “What’s a compliant way to keep him here?”

“Mr. Yun, are you recommending him yourself?” the assistant ventured.

“Fine.” Yun Chuan strode past his assistant and sat down beside Eli.

“Huh? Do I still have a chance of getting into Yun Group?” Eli looked at his pitiful resume, then at the man who didn’t seem to be joking, and scratched his head.

After joining the company, Eli was on top of the world. His coworkers loved him, clients praised him, and even the cafeteria lady gave him an extra scoop of food.

Yun Chuan watched him get surrounded by laughing coworkers again from beside the floor-to-ceiling window. He snapped the pen in his hand. Eli was clearly a medicine meant for him alone. Why should these people be allowed to covet him?

He called Eli into his office and said in a tone that brooked no argument, “I’ll triple your salary. Move into my house and be my personal assistant.”

Eli’s eyes lit up. “Opportunity favors the prepared elf. The hardest achievement, [A Full Pouch of Gold Coins], will be a piece of cake!”

He happily agreed, completely missing Yun Chuan’s eyes narrowing slightly.

Their days living together were chaotic. Yun Chuan was always left with a throbbing temple, but whenever he saw those innocent round eyes, he’d inexplicably swallow his curses and mutter, “I’ll dock your pay.” Eli would leap into his arms and cling to him. “Don’t, Mr. Yun!”

When Eli kicked off his covers in the middle of the night, Yun Chuan would pull him right into his arms. When Eli mumbled “System” in his sleep, Yun Chuan would keep his eyes closed, rest his chin on Eli’s head, and bite his lips drowsily, forbidding him from calling someone else.

Until one day, Eli sat before him with his head bowed, afraid to look at him in the mirror. “Mr. Yun, I’m going home soon.”

Yun Chuan’s fingers paused for a moment as he dried Eli’s hair.

“Home?” He gently kissed the top of Eli’s head. “Isn’t this your home?”

Eli’s heart was about to leap out of his chest.

He opened his mouth to speak, but at that moment, his final ordinary achievement, [Ten Thousand Heart-Pounding Moments], was completed.

On the thirty-seventh day after returning to the forest, Eli sat on the tallest tree branch, lost in thought. He wondered if Yun Chuan would have another episode now that he was gone.

“That’s too high. It’s dangerous. Come down.”

In a daze, he saw the man below the tree, wearing a large hiking pack. He didn’t know how long it had taken him to find Eli, but now he stood with his arms open, brows furrowed as he looked up.

Eli’s eyes immediately filled with tears. He closed his eyes and leaped down. Yun Chuan, help me complete one more hidden achievement.
