Every shapeshifting spirit had to learn how to live among humans without revealing its identity. But, clearly, human society had far too many rules for a snake.
So, after careful consideration, Shu Yu decided to remain a snake.
After sneaking into apartment buildings, restaurants, and food streets to find something to eat, only to be chased away every single time, Shu Yu remembered that before he could take human form, a long-haired person had once given him a roasted chicken wing.
Shu Yu decided to go find her.
There was a thief in the house.
When Pei Yin lost her third apple, she finally became sure of it.
But she searched around and found nothing missing. Well, nothing except the apples.
Seriously, what was wrong with this thief?
She bought a security camera and installed it in the living room, then put another apple in the fruit bowl. She was determined to catch the thief.
When yet another apple disappeared, Pei Yin watched the footage with a sinister smile, then suddenly fell silent.
The one stealing her apples was a snake.
