Synopsis
A cold, sharp-tongued chairwoman in the beginning, later gentle and calculating x A short-tempered professional assassin in the beginning, later gentle and innocent
All-female.
The synopsis is written in first person from the older woman's perspective, while the main story is told in first person from the younger woman's perspective.
When I first met her, she was leaning against the passenger seat, covered in blood. She was barely conscious, her eyes about to close, yet still trembling as she raised her gun to threaten me into driving. Adorably presumptuous.
Halfway through the drive, I realized she was barely aware of her surroundings. Half-conscious, she stared at me. Hadn't her organization taught her to stay alert? She was about to pass out in a stranger's car. Utterly foolish. She and I were actually quite alike. She was being hunted, and so was I. The only difference was that one of us had brought it on herself, while the other hadn't.
I admit I once wanted to kill her. Later, I was horrified by my own foolishness. She had never been the one at fault. The fault lay with me, blinded by hatred and robbed of reason.
I hurt her, then took advantage of her softhearted and kind nature to make her forgive me. I am guilty. I use these qualities of hers, then go further and tempt her until she falls in love with me.
I am greedily hoping that she will sink into ruin with me.
Theme: Love is great
The characters are good, but the writing is poor
