When Morofushi Hiromitsu was seven, a thug broke into his home and murdered his parents. Still a young child, he hid in a cupboard as the world quietly changed beneath a shroud of malice.

From then on, Morofushi Hiromitsu's world was full of monsters, along with one "cat."

Back then, he didn't know that the monsters only he could see were called "curses," or that the cat was the manifestation of his cursed technique.

His soul was still lost in the dream he had inside the cupboard.

On the night the thug left, Morofushi Hiromitsu fell asleep, swept away by malice. But his sleep was anything but peaceful.

The bloody night flowed into a dream. In it, Morofushi Hiromitsu was separated from his older brother and went to Tokyo, where he met a boy as bright as the sun. They went from elementary school to middle school, then high school, and finally the police academy. He made four close friends. Later came undercover work, and darkness and dampness closed around him again. But this time, he could shine on his own. The dream ended abruptly: hurried footsteps, ragged breathing, a ringing in his ears, the determined green eyes before him, and then a gunshot. Morofushi Hiromitsu woke up.

He clutched the clothes over his heart and looked up dazedly to see his brother wearing a grave expression.

After that, life unfolded just like the dream. But there were no monsters in the dream. Even so, Morofushi Hiromitsu hoped it was real, because more than anything, he wanted that flash of gold to appear.

He waited, but even after the time from the dream had passed, that person still hadn't appeared... Until one afternoon, Hiromitsu was alone when he finally met him.

As if he had been waiting for this moment, the blond boy smiled brightly and held out his hand to the cat-eyed boy. "Can I be your friend?"

Rei Furuya's POV: Reborn into the past, with far too many regrets to set right. His first attempt ends in disaster. While trying to stop Dr. Elena's family from joining the Black Organization, he gets caught by the Organization instead. A spectacular failure. After a lot of trouble, he gets back to his normal life, and puts the matter of Dr. Elena aside for now. But why is his childhood friend's condition even worse than it was in his previous life, when he was only a little late?

To keep his childhood friend's mental state stable, Rei Furuya goes along with his delusions. That is, until his dear childhood friend chooses a different high school...

Rei Furuya: Wait, are the supposedly omnipresent monsters and Tatsu-kun, the "cat" created by Hiromitsu's cursed technique, actually real? No, something is really wrong with this world, isn't it!?

As it turns out, this world is completely off the rails!

Matsuda Jinpei becomes someone who can "see yokai" across generations.

The entire Hagiwara family turns out to be yokai hiding in the human world.

And the class president, Date Wataru, becomes a magical-girl manager. One of the magical girls under his management is Natalie.

Rei Furuya: I have no words.

Jujutsu society gets a newcomer who seems perfectly normal: black hair, blue eyes, and very well-behaved. He really is very well-behaved, too.

They say sorcerers are all crazy, and this guy is no exception. (P.S. He has a psychiatric case file from a major hospital.)

What do you mean, you worked it out with the principal so you'd complete a five-year course in three years, and get through five years' worth of work in three, because you promised your childhood friend you'd apply to the University of Tokyo together? Wait, you're also studying for the University of Tokyo entrance exams?

What do you mean, your cursed technique is just a "cat," and you hold back whenever you use it because you're afraid the "cat" might get hurt?

What do you mean, after leaving jujutsu society, you went undercover in an illegal organization, only for that organization to turn around and dump you back into jujutsu society?

P.S. This is a big crossover stew, with Hiromitsu as the main character and no romantic pairings. Hiromitsu might be a little unhinged in this story. I'll try to keep him in character. If you spot any problems, please be polite. I'll check and revise if needed, so don't yell at me.

About the setting: Rei Furuya is the only one with memories of a "previous life." The closer the other four members of the police academy group are to Rei Furuya, the sooner they'll get flashes of their past lives. For example, Hiromitsu got his flashback when he was seven. The other three will get theirs later.

About the timeline: Hiromitsu starts at Jujutsu High one year above Gojo Satoru.
