She accepted it.
So she practiced her sword a thousand times on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, then meditated and comprehended the Dao on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
What about the seventh day?
Yan Chang'an took her sword down the mountain to exterminate demons, defend the Dao, and get into fights.
Later, she realized the cultivation world had some pretty serious problems.
The sky was square, and there seemed to be only one road.
People were neither quite human nor quite ghost.
The Heavenly Dao was flawed, and cause and effect were tangled in obscurity.
Yan Chang'an raised her head to the sky and understood that she had to walk the road her predecessors had failed to finish.
No matter. She had a sword.
2. Yan Chang'an Is a Peace-Loving Sword Cultivator
It's just that she has a tiny little problem: she has a billion enemies. The four great immortal clans, three sects, two pavilions, one palace, and one island either hold a grudge against her or have a bone to pick with her.
So peace-loving Yan Chang'an has no choice but to fight all day long.
One day,
Yan Chang'an was meditating to recover after she'd finished "talking things over" with an enemy.
A thin male cultivator poked his head out. "Your injuries look serious, Immortal Maiden. Would you like me to treat them?"
Yan Chang'an turned to look at the sickly male cultivator, her face full of suspicion.
The frail-looking cultivator coughed lightly. "A doctor can't treat himself. If I can't cure you, you don't have to pay."
Yan Chang'an immediately held out her hand.
After all, it was free.
