Jiang Ning had been called a pill-refining genius since childhood, but on the day she came of age and awakened, she showed not the slightest talent for pill refinement.
After accidentally falling into a mysterious cave, Jiang Ning bound herself to an infinite save-and-load System. She was going to become a genius pill refiner, no matter what.
When she learned that her past habit of showing off had attracted secret suppression, Jiang Ning immediately changed her mind. Being an unremarkable pill refiner sounded pretty good.
Unexpectedly, Tianyan Sect, the only top sect in the cultivation world, reopened its gates to recruit disciples. This was the best chance for Jiang Ning and the others to escape their current sect.
It would be perfectly reasonable for an unremarkable pill refiner to suddenly perform exceptionally well and be accepted as a disciple of Tianyan Sect, right?
But staying mediocre in a sect teeming with geniuses was incredibly, incredibly hard.
“Senior Brother, I think Junior Sister Jiang has decent talent for pill refinement.”
“Senior Brother, Junior Sister Jiang made pills yesterday, and every single one of them turned out perfectly. I told you I was good at judging people.”
“Se... Senior Brother, I heard Junior Sister Jiang recreated an ancient pill recipe in just one night.”
“Senior Brother, do we really have a talent for pill refinement? What if those people are just flattering us on purpose?”
Behind Jiang Ning's calm display of talent, which left everyone questioning their own cultivation, was this:
First attempt at pill refinement: failure. “Load save.”
Second attempt at pill refinement: failure. “Load save.”
Ninety-ninth attempt at pill refinement: success. “Overwrite save.”
