Assistant chief physician Sun Mingying suffers the misfortune of dying from overwork on the first night after her promotion. After death, she is reborn as the twin sister who serves as the foil to the lucky heroine of a wish-fulfillment novel.
In the original story, although the twin sisters look exactly alike, the lucky younger sister enjoys a smooth life and is doted on from childhood. When she is chosen to become a palace maid destined to be buried with the dead, their parents force the elder sister, who has been neglected since childhood, to take her place and enter the palace to suffer and await death. Meanwhile, the younger sister takes the marriage to a marquis’s household that had already been promised to her sister.
After entering the palace, Sun Mingying works diligently for five years, finally escaping the original character’s fate of dying young as a burial sacrifice and becoming the Crown Prince’s consort.
But not long after she follows the Crown Prince and becomes empress, she drinks a bowl of poisoned soup, and the System restarts her life.
Sun Mingying is reborn once more, back to before she entered the palace.
Give up and coast? Impossible!
Sun Mingying: Restart all you want. I’ll never accept fate, even if I die!
Sun Mingying prepares to avoid entering the palace in her sister’s place, never expecting her lucky younger sister, who was chosen to enter the palace, to suddenly change her mind and decide to go herself.

Her younger sister, Zhao Yuhui, has known since childhood that she was born lucky. Her parents, older brother, friends, teachers, classmates, and even strangers she’s met only once all like her. She has never failed to get what she wants.
Zhao Yuhui thought she would stay happy forever, until the fifth year of her marriage as the heir of a marquis’s wife, when she was poisoned by members of the household. As she lay dying, she heard that her twin sister had become the Crown Prince’s consort.
Zhao Yuhui believes that she died young and met such a tragic end because her sister stole her place as the Crown Prince’s consort.
Reborn, she intends to reclaim the life she believes should have been hers as the Crown Prince’s consort.
After entering the palace, Zhao Yuhui suffers every hardship imaginable. At last she manages to climb into the Crown Prince’s bed, but the very next day, the Crown Prince is replaced, and she is once again a lowly palace maid.
Zhao Yuhui refuses to accept this.
After a sleepless night, she waits outside the Eastern Palace, ready to seduce the new Crown Prince.
But at the end of the corridor, the new Crown Prince approaches, surrounded by attendants. He is none other than Ning Xu, a soldier’s son who used to admire her, only to be dismissed and cruelly rejected by her. And the new Crown Princess is her older sister, Sun Mingying.

The emperor is benighted and pleasure-seeking, his favored consort abuses her influence and meddles in politics, corrupt officials form factions for personal gain, loyal ministers are driven to their deaths, and the people live in misery.
Prince Rui Ning Xu intends to seize the throne, restore order, and clean up the court.
A divine immortal presents him with a portrait of the future empress.
Ning Xu searches in Jinzhou. The beauty is one of a pair of twins. Just then, a plague strikes the city. The younger sister can’t wait to flee, while the older sister worries about the people and does her best to treat them.
Ning Xu chooses the older sister.
Everyone says Sun Mingying and Zhao Yuhui look exactly alike, but Ning Xu disagrees. The first time he saw Zhao Yuhui standing in for Sun Mingying as Crown Princess, he knew she wasn’t his A Jian.
Single couple, happy ending.
Theme: Kindness is the real good fortune.
It's so complicated, I've been reviewing all the plots
Like a framed novel. The story is quite big, but the writing needs to be improved, and there are some repetitive inner monologues in the middle. The most important thing is that the heroine is not likeable and has no abilities of her own.
